Now Booking March!
Happy March!
Quick life update: this month I’ve been a little behind on opening books as a result of moving back to the New Haven area. This means that 1) I am now closer to the studio, and 2) I will have increased availability for booking in the coming months!
My latest rabbit hole has been all about recognizing aesthetic similarities in disparate places in nature: in rugose coral (a former and eternal thematic darling of mine) and petrified wood cross sections, visual commonalities between the center patterning inside fusulinid fossils and the rings of trees, uncanny doppelganger angiograms that look just like shadows of branches and roots. My time is filled by circling the endless loop of finding out that the things that I find beautiful from one biome or time scale aesthetically mimic something I find beautiful in another, be it the deep sea, deciduous forests, or the human body, and that has been giving my life some much needed meaning lately.
If you have ‘something in nature that looks like another thing in nature’ subject matter that you want to bring to me for custom work, please please do! I’m also open to fossil stuff, textures you’ve seen lately, or objects you’ve found. I’ve been missing doing likenesses of tangible things recently.
Here are the open dates I’m currently working with for March:
March 12th, 16th, 19th, and 26th.(from now on my main days will be Wednesdays and Sundays, but if that conflicts with your schedule and you’re itching to work together, there is a tiny bit of flexibility so just let me know!)
You can submit a booking proposal here.
I also still have some flash unclaimed from last round of booking which I’d really like to get to. I will be including some of that as well.
