January Booking
Hi everyone-
It’s me, Seven, in your inbox once again to let you know that I am now booking Sundays in January!
I’ve been extremely focused on disease, decay, and trauma in trees, and organisms that have symbiotic relationships with wounded or dying trees (death in nature giving way to new life, etc.) and have some flash references that I would love to work from to create compositionally compelling reflections of these incredible naturally occurring textures.
Here are some of those flash references, found on my weekly tree walks:
(Note: They are pictured here in all their gory detail because I simply don’t know how to make them any smaller, so if you’re viewing this on your computer, please enjoy the extremely gritty textural close-ups) (I mean that sincerely)
My desire to work with you on a custom still stands- please don’t hesitate to send in custom proposals or send me your own favorite tree patterning/textures to work with. I would love to do some gorgeous wrapping bark/decay texture, and would love to work with anything having to do with roots and branching or vines, etc. Again, I am still happily accepting proposals having to do with death, time, and time’s impact on natural organisms via visual depictions of decay - trees and the beauty of their wounds just have my heart at the moment.
I have spots for 4 pieces in January.
You can fill out a proposal form here! (If one of the flash reference images speaks to you, please include the number of the image in your proposal.)
Looking forward to engaging in some decay worship with you this winter, and highly recommend taking a few hours each week to texturally investigate the sleeping skeletons of your local trees during their season of rest.
Warmly,
Seven
